The Chauvie Family

We are pleased to share that we have tickets for our furlough to the U.S. for December – April 2026. We have not been back as a family since we returned to Uruguay after our long (unexpected) stay during 2020. We are quite excited and looking forward to spending time with you, our family and friends. We would love to hear from you if you would like to get together!

Children´s Day is a big event annually in Uruguay. We like to take advantage of this special day to share the gospel with children. Our theme this year was ´Searching for a Treasure´ We were blessed with just under 50 children in attendance. Steven was able to give the lesson about making God´s Word our ultimate treasure in life. Several raised their hand to pray during the invitation! Then we enjoyed a treasure hunt and other games prepared by our SS teachers. We are thankful for the souls we have been entrusted to work with. Thank you for praying for these children, as well as for our Sunday school and Wednesday night teachers.

This month our church in El Real is celebrating 21 years of existence since it was first planted in 2004. We began meeting in Pastor Archie & Ruth's house, the bedrooms were classrooms, and the living room was the sanctuary. Now, several of our SS kids are married with families, and they are part of the church leadership. The church has become independent, and the Lord has blessed up with a tremendous church building in which to worship. We are so thankful to those of you who have donated time and money to have part in our building and in our congregation! Thank you for your faithful prayers for our church people. And for us as we lead the flock. (Lord willing, we will be able to take an updated photo of our congregation at the end of this month to share with all of you.)
